The Matcha Box Tea Kit from Matcha Source with 30g Morning Matcha Organic Powdered Green Tea, Ceramic Teabowl, Bamboo Whisk, Bamboo Tea Scoop and Sifter Overview

The Matcha Box Tea Kit from Matcha Source with 30g Morning Matcha Organic Powdered Green Tea, Ceramic Teabowl, Bamboo Whisk, Bamboo Tea Scoop and Sifter Matcha Beginner's KitFor the absolute beginner, here are all of the essential tools you need to prepare matcha tea at home. This set includes a 30 gram tin of Morning Matcha Classic Grade organic thin style matcha tea, a ceramic matcha bowl, a bamboo whisk for frothing tea, sifter and bamboo tea scoop. We include the sifter because without it, no matter how much you whisk, your matcha will be clumpy. The bamboo whisk, invented centuries ago, is still the best tool for whisking. The bamboo tea scoop is perfect for measuring out matcha powder and scooping tea out of a round tin.Water quality and temperature are important in making good tasting matcha. Begin with cool spring or filtered water and bring it to just under a boil. Using hot water, made this way, will have more oxygen and not "scorch" the delicate matcha leaves.Morning Matcha Classic Grade thin style matcha is grown in the pristine hills of the Nishio region. This premium matcha is used in combination with teabowl and whisk. It tastes best made in the thin style. Use 2 bamboo tea scoops (or 1 teaspoon) to 1.5 ounces of hot water per serving. When tasting this matcha, we found an excellent balance of astringency and sweetness.Preparing Traditional Japanese Style Matchausing a teabowl, sifter, bamboo whisk and thick or thin matcha * Heat spring or filtered water * Sift matcha * Rinse teabowl with heated water and dry with cloth * Rinse utensils * Scoop matcha powder into the center of your teabowl * Add hot water (just under boiling) * Whisk quickly back and forth * Matcha is ready to drink

The Matcha Box Tea Kit from Matcha Source with 30g Morning Matcha Organic Powdered Green Tea, Ceramic Teabowl, Bamboo Whisk, Bamboo Tea Scoop and Sifter Review

#The Matcha Box Tea Kit from Matcha Source with 30g Morning Matcha Organic Powdered Green Tea, Ceramic Teabowl, Bamboo Whisk, Bamboo Tea Scoop and Sifter Best Review# I had read in a running magazine that tea was good for weight loss. I started poking around the internet to find out more about that idea, and found, actually, that it is green tea that has been shown to aid in weight loss.

As I read about green tea I found out about EGCG, which green tea contains, which is the strongest of any known antioxidant. EGCG has been shown to aid in lowering cholesterol, help with arthritis, discourage cancer, etc. As I read I found out about matcha, which is powdered green tea. Instead of brewing matcha, you mix it into warm/hot water and drink the mixture. Because you are ingesting the tea leaves you get much more EGCG, as well as chlorophyll.

The green of matcha reminded me of the green of wheat grass juice, which, to me, is a nasty way to get chlorophyll, which is also supposedly very healthy to drink. I was curious, searched around on Amazon for matcha, and bought this starter kit.

The matcha was a breeze to make, I heated some water, poured about 1/3 cup of water into a bowl, added a teaspoon of the tea, whisked it for about 30 seconds and drank it. I found its flavor tea-like, but different, and better, than any tea I'd ever had.

This tea is expensive, but it, and the experience, are sublime. I bought matcha for health reasons, but it's a delightful addition to my day as well.

Sick Customer - John T. Kempton - NJ
After first use, no problem, but after a few days.........
I began to experience severe gastric reflux followed by intensively painful chest pains. Things seem to have normalized after I proceeded to stop intake of this tea. Now I proceed to expect a call from the seller for a refund on my purchase.

Happy with purchase and service - E. Anderson - Tucson, AZ
The product is as advertised and of good quality. Service was prompt and professional. The matcha was of good quality taste, texture and color.
I do feel the total cost is high for what you get but I am pleased with my overall purchase.
