It has a slightly bitter taste...but it is not very noticeable...especially depending on what type of drink you are making. I love to sit down and have a nice cup of hot green tea...but I am a teacher, and lack on time, so in the mornings need a quick healthy drink. I always turn to my trusty Instant Breakfast! I usually buy the chocolate (which I still do!), but I made my own drink with the vanilla Instant Breakfast and 2 nice scoops of the green tea powder. It is the best morning drink (for me at least!) You get what you pay for with this product. I drink Matcha Tea daily and absolutely love it. When I saw the price and reviews I thought I had found the perfect product at a great price.
It has a dirty/muddy flavor that is disappointing to say the least. Try DoMatcha 2nd Harvest, good price and much better flavor at a good price.

You get a healthy amount with this package at a low price. The only thing is that it appears to come from Taiwan and not Japan. It is the Japanese leaves that are noted for the healthy properties; I'm not sure they are replicated in Taiwan. I ignore a lot of the ritual stuff and just scoop and pour hot water. A few drops of lemon helps with what is otherwise an unappealing taste.
