Stash Japanese Matcha Powdered Green Tea, 1.06-Ounce Tin Review
#Stash Japanese Matcha Powdered Green Tea, 1.06-Ounce Tin Best Review# This is a great price, and good for cooking/blending in smoothies. With hot tea, still enjoyable, but the taste is a little sub par in quality compared to some of the "finer" matcha products. For example, I wouldn't recommend drinking this "alone" with hot water as in a traditional japanese hot matcha tea; I'd add some looseleaf green or a tea bag to bring out the true flavor. Other matchas that I've tried, to contrast, stand up on their own (and a little goes a long way - unlike this matcha, where I felt I was adding more to get the same "green" taste.)The correct way to prepare is to add a bit of powder to an empty cup, add some hot (not boiling) water and stir briskly with a bamboo whisk or fork until blended. You can then add hot milk, more water, etc to your taste.
This also tastes great mixed into yogurt, milk/berry smoothies. It's a small tin - note the 1.06 ounce size - but this is pretty standard for matcha. Using the subscribe and save feature knocks off more dollars off the price (compare to + at Whole Foods for rishi brand matcha, same size).
Overall, it's definitely a very good product, unless you're a super-discerning tea drinker - and I recommend it!

I tried the DoMatcha. The green one wasn't very good and the red one was alright. But Stash beats both hands down. Stash Matcha has a smoother flavor than the DoMatcha. I think it tastes better and mixes better as a Matcha latte.
